It is confession that seals the deal. It is a personal thing, no one can do it for you! Matt 10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. 33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. Sounds to me like a PROMISE and a WARNING here. When Jesus confesses you before the father it is permanent. Jesus does not break promises Belief leads to Salvation and is available to ALL, But unbelief is already condemned, a starting place for ALL. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. If you have not confessed your belief in Jesus as Lord before you die, you are too late. Jesus will deny you before the Father, no one else can change it for you.
Let us not forget it was a simple personal confession that got the convicted criminal to heaven. Luke 23:39 And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. 40But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God (recognition), seeing thou art in the same condemnation? 41And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds (confession): but this man hath done nothing amiss. 42And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom (invitation). 43And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise. This process CAN NOT be accomplished FOR someone else. It is indeed a personal experience between an individual and the Savior. It is too late for those who have passed from this life. The sin of your carnal flesh can only be forgiven while you are still in the flesh and experiencing Christ. Pass into the next world without Christ and you will be forever separated from Christ and doomed to eternal death. |
